Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting that is open to the public.

These meetings provide an opportunity for community members to have direct conversations with their elected board representative about local issues and concerns.

This year the CWES counseling department wants Cogburn Woods to become a "No Place for Hate" school community.

No Place for Hate is a program that fosters a learning community of inclusivity, respect and equity. Every person in our school has a role to play.

Let's all come together and make our CWES a "No Place for Hate" school.

Here is CWES's "No Place for Hate" pledge. The students say it every morning while watching the school's morning announcements.   

Our painted rock can be rented to celebrate your child's birthday, big event or a "just because". You can reserve the rock for any kind of positive message! For a student’s birthday, to thank a teacher or staff member, congratulatory events, to wish luck on competitions and tournaments, or to recognize important milestones. Please note that political messages or profanity is NOT PERMITTED.

Reservations must be made by a parent or a staff member on behalf of a student or student group. CLICK HERE TO RESERVE THE ROCK.

Help us raise money for materials and supplies for our school.  You will have 24 hours of display time which includes painting the rock.  Each slot is reserved from 5:30pm day one until 5:30pm the next day  The cost is $25.00.

If you want more time, you can buy additional days on the back end of the original date if it's available. 

What if the rock is already reserved on the date I want?  Rock reservations are on a first come, first served basis so make your reservations as soon as possible! If the date you want is already reserved, choose the next closest available date

Reminders:

1.You will need to provide/purchase the acrylic paint and supplies, including a drop cloth on the day you paint to protect the area around the rock.

2. No additional items can be used around or on the rock. Paint only.

3. You are responsible for the painting of the rock. CWES staff can not paint for you.

3. No refunds will be allowed. If weather or an emergency occurs, we can give you another date open that is the closest to your original day. Please contact Ms Garosi, our principal if this happens.The rock can be towel dried and paint will adhere even light rain or snow.

4. The best paint to use for a base coat is spray paint. You will need approximately 2 to 3 cans to cover the rock. For detail work craft paint may be used, but remember this will take longer to dry. Sponge paint brushes also work great. Please remember to bring water and rags to clean your brushes and surrounding areas.

5. Remove all paint materials and litter from the school property.
